One of the basic features of Odoo is the Contacts section. Here you create individuals or companies. These groups in turn contain individual customers or partner companies.
After clicking on "Create" under "Odoo > Contacts", you can enter the basic data. These include a Person or company settings, name, address and website. Then the occupation (position), telephone, fax, e-mail, salutation, language and tags are entered.
CONTACTS & ADDRESSES
Under the tab "Contacts & Addresses" you can also create a contact, a billing address, delivery address or another address. If the main contact is a company, then the employees of the company are displayed here.
SALE & Purchase
Under the tab "Sales & Purchasing" you can mark the contact as customer or Vendor. Both group settings are possible at the same time. Other settings options include Salesperson, Delivery Method, Internal Reference, Website Tags, and for the point of sale area, the barcode of the contact.
Other tabs you can still fill are: Internal Notes, Invoicing, Partner Assignation, Membership.
To quickly get to the diverse Odoo areas within a contact, there is a quick overview. The areas are for example: Opportunity, Meeting, On Website, Invoiced, Sales, Purchase, Invoiced... The overview shows the name a value. A clicking on a button takes you to the respective Odoo area.
